I've never been too good at the self-referential Building hype for my type requires power massive, exponential Gasoline ignites the fire, revving from an engine My name is Doc Isaac, time to begin the mission Slipping through the cracks, to show up on the stage. Just A Boy and His Game Boy, a magitek sage Too much arcade on his brain, a slave to this game. Not just showcasing nerdy, I'm defining to acclaim. As The pulse channel kicks, you think you know the drill, The thrill is in your veins, a buildup brings a chill This fever will kill, but Mario can keep his pills, All you really need now is for Doc's flow to spill From the midwest, I came to the southeast Producing beats like an Altered Beast A Space Harrier burying the competition, doing as I please Hiding behind the curtain, lookin, Certain my notions will keep you turning I'm the game genie connecting directly into your feed And everyone can't resist Making a sample to this The Theme is Storm Eagle! It's not me, it's nerdcore logic Let's make this crowd go Maverick My name is Doc Isaac and this is my requisite Introductory Song defined by the Hip Hop Government. Enraptured like a poltergeist to a TV screen, Talkboy next to the speaker, recording on loop Ken's Theme Sound Effects, Shoryuken, Street Fighter my scene Making lyrics as I play, linguistics slowly forming Stories in my head I prefer to bantering Than fluff and huff and puff, wolves blowing houses over, drunk with forties Give me meaning listening to all your pipe dreams While you're shredding all your threads, I'm strengthening my seams And I don't really pray to Yeezy I've got my own diety Ronnie James Dio! Through the Dark like a Rainbow, Surprising you with falsetto My name is Doc Isaac and this is my requisite Introductory Song defined by the Hip Hop Government. My name is Doc Isaac and I am here to say, I like sci-fi, wrestling and anime You may not think those things worth boasting about in a rap But that's about all I had where I lived: Halls Had It, And right here is where I'd make a Firefly joke, But it's fifteen years old?! That's true folks! Haunting ghosts in browncoats, they tood the sky from me Guess we should have read the patch notes before Fox nerfed it completely. Okay, that's enough of that! Continue! You may look at me weirdly as I peer down on my screen, Changing hexadecimal values, around you all the chiptunes sing The song of my people wielded with nostalgic ring, Rose tinted glasses will be your new favorite bling So raise your hands, clap along to the snare And if you're feeling crazy, add a whoo like Ric Flair. Now we're playing with power, let's light up this party Like Spinal Tap, we're gonna turn the volume straight up to B. You see I don't care where this goes Good or bad or Tommy Wiseau, You're tearing me apart, Lisa! You're my favorite customers Let's rock this joint together! My name is Doc Isaac and this is my requisite Introductory Song defined by the Hip Hop Government.

Rap Game 03:39
Step up! Doc Isaac got his hands on the mic! Back off! I'm about to make a lyrical strike! I'll convey my message however necessary Don't like it? Summon the feedback army! Smarmy, yes, but that's how I roll! At least that's how I claim to roll, I'm just too nice to pay the toll, But I can act like it, so just step away! If I'm too loud? Crap, I'm really sorry hey I'll turn it down, I MEAN-- CHROUS This is how you play the Rap Game, Make a bold claim, say a lot of little crazy things! Find a sexy beat, defeat it with your know how Give a quick mix and upload it to Soundcloud! Be animated like a Scooby Doo Ghost Am I making a rap or just a Tumblr post? I'm always acting Bitter or maybe Angry But if I'm making cheesy lyrics then I'm all too happy! When I walk in the club, everyone says "Hello" Greets me congenially, handshaking in a row Running to and fro, the show will resume But the real action is always in the back room Where my crew is waiting for their fighter, Level 3 We're about to kick it with some old school D&D The die are rolling, character sheets are scrawling We're about to drive by on a poor old Halfling Encounter alert, the door to the back is cracked! They found out my secret, they're gonna have a laugh! Gotta distract them with my mad proofs, Gotta make a quick line about bleeps and bloops! Crap! Maybe that wasn't the best approach, But the words are dope, they forget why they encroach I know it sounds silly, maybe far too random, But let's make it all good and healthy like Dannon CHORUS REPEATS [LYRICS LOST] Ummm, have I mentioned where I live? Yes! A little hometown cheer can pad like a div! Gotta hone in on the positives to share. Knoxville, Tennessee! We once had a World's Fair! ... And that's about it! Wait that seems too legit, I should learn when to quit. It doesn't matter, we're almost at the refrain Cause hey! That's how I playyyyyyy

Match Three 04:18
Wake up, got a song in your head A few simple notes, combination embeds Go to work instead, ignore it through the day Jerks tell you what to do, bring you down on the way. Get tired, Get back feeling drained, But the melody's catching, sticking in your brain Distracting, swayed electronically Oh hey, there's a meme of a kitty! And it builds and it builds and it builds and it builds You feel the will, pulling in for the kill, Throw off the covers, run up the stairs Stare at the screen til your eyes are red with air This could be it, what you dream But it's never as perfect as you're picturing Picking at the surface, the magic never shows More a Ninja Turtle than a Michelangelo. You stand agape at the size of the Mountain Surmounting columns seems to line in thousands You'll never make it, measures lacking You can feel the pressure piling, stacking, Then it hits, that link in your chains Breaking swiftly, you feel a sudden change Patterns clicks, clear, luminescent This is your chance, now make it all connect! CHORUS Treat life like a match three game Fleeting with a purpose more than the fame Invite your fear hear a newfound flow Make your worries disappear straight to the back row! No matter what just do your best Time's falling too fast to wallow in distress This is not a test, are you scared you'll flop? Are you really waiting for that Magical Drop? Stop! Jump, aim a little higher Work into the Leagues, become a Puzzle Fighter! Always working for that Clear Bonus Don't despair in seemingly slowness! Onus, don't be Bejeweled by their progress! They did the same as you, gotta keep focus! Keep bustling if you wanna Bust a Move That groove is your heart, man, you know what to do! Much in life seeems everyone is versus, Bickering drama, leaving you wordless Game link time sink, grab another quarter Purses snatched, blame the other fodder You Think life is some sort of free to play? Recharges drained, social media fadeaway Ignore the stress ,the strain on your day It all means nothing if the homie won't play Juggling candles, they can't handle Setting fires, bridges and scandals Product placement, community dangers Rap so whack, Money Idol Exchangers, In their flaunting, they squader Left wondering, Panel de Pon de Floor, so confused, these loons Like a Game Gear theme made a Game Boy tune As you stare on as the words fly, You wonder why you even wanna try Just Rise above and leave the hive You can fly higher than they can thrive! They don't understand, you can be you, Construe your worth, just do what you want to do It's a long way to the top of the spire So get building before the combo expires CHORUS REPEATS Tetris Attack, addict, can't relax, Fast the blocks rise, piling up in neat stacks you have the knack to keep them tame. Neo with a need, rearrange, color matching If you do that, you'll escape these woods Warios can do nothing you've bombed his goods It's your avalanche, now make the screen roll Show this world why you've worked and toiled! Treat life like a match three game Fleeting with a purpose more than the fame Gotta take the stakes, make it electric Show off your skills with a Hatris Trick No matter your level, everything is frantic Time is spinning too fast, plan it like Hexic. This is not a test, just perfect your dream Even when you're hit in the Mean Bean Machine New routine! Jump, aim a little higher Work into the Leagues, become a Puzzle Fighter! Everyone's looking for that quick Clear Bonus While the ones working despair, seemingly slowness! Onus, don't be Bejeweled by their progress! They did the same as you, gotta keep focus! Keep bustling if you wanna Bust a Move That groove is your heart, you know what to do!

PARRRRRRRRRRTYYYYYY

about

I was actually never planning on releasing this EP. This was originally a release I planned to do in 2016 and never felt like it was ever going to be good enough to release. These were some of the first songs I made as Doc Isaac and I spent a lot of my time afterwards and I feel like I've done a lot of improvement since then to better reflect the type of material I want to make. So I left them be and kept them for "live only" tracks, unique to the live show experience.

Then the quarantine happened and I got bored. Among a bunch of other tracks, I decided to record these (With the exception of the Beastie Boys Cover) in a single day, warts and all. I then decided "Well, why not just actually release" them. I combined it with a cover drawn by my good friend, Tim Sparvero from another release that never saw the light of day (I was planning on making a King of Fighters 98-centric Mixtape at one point.) and boom, you have what I should have released a few years ago! Now it is here for everyone to enjoy. I hope you're doing well and I hope this adds a little bit of well to your day!

The rest of the songs recorded will appear on my next EP, "The Cleanup", to be released sometime soon.
